Hawaii ERAP Treasury Programs:
The purpose of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Rent Relief Program (DHHLRRP) is to provide financial assistance to native Hawaiians on the DHHL Waiting List who experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are renters in the state of Hawai’i. This program is being supported in whole, by federal award number 23.021 awarded to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Hawaii CARES+ Programs:
The Hawaiian Homes Commission has approved the establishment of the DHHL COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The program will provide eligible native Hawaiian beneficiaries who are on the Department’s Applicant Waiting List, as of Dec. 31, 2018, with rental assistance using Native Hawaiian Housing Block Grant funds.

State of Hawaii Rent Relief and Housing Assistance Program
The purpose of the State of Hawaii’s Rent Relief and Housing Assistance Program is to provide assistance to renters who have experienced or are facing a reduction in income because of the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and are at risk of eviction.
The Rent Assistance and Mediation Program (RAMP) will provide assistance for Hawai‘i renters who have experienced a reduction in income because of unemployment or a reduction in work hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are at risk of eviction. The $6 million program, administered by Catholic Charities Hawaii, intends to help tenants avoid eviction by providing rental payments for unpaid rent and mediation services.
Six local nonprofit organizations joined today to announce the launch of the Hawaii County Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program (RMAP).
RMAP nonprofit partners are encouraging Hawai’i Island residents who are at least 18 years old and lost income or work hours due to COVID-19 to prepare ahead to apply.
The County of Hawaii’s Office of Housing and Community Development with Hope Services Hawaii Inc. is establishing an Emergency Rent and Mortgage Assistance Program to provide financial assistance to Big Island residents who have been financially impacted.
