• Benton County Emergency Rental Assistance Program

•  Washington County Emergency Rental Assistance

Fayetteville Housing Authority ONLY received $1.5 Million which will serve approximately 350 families. Residents of Springdale should apply at the Springdale Housing Authority. Applications will be open until February 22 at 8 AM. After this time, there will be a lottery based that will prioritize the most vulnerable. More details will be published in the coming days.

Arkansas CARES+ Programs:

• Arkansas State Rental Assistance Program

Arkansans who have lost income because of the covid-19 pandemic can apply for federally funded rental assistance through nonprofits, local governments and other organizations that provide homelessness prevention and rehousing services, the state Department of Human Services announced. The state has received $23 million from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to serve residents who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Those services include homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, street outreach and emergency shelter, according to a department news release.

• ARKANSAS COVID-19 FRESH START HOUSING STABILIZATION PROGRAM

Through recent state legislative action, the Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association has received $10 million in federal grant funds to provide rental assistance to low-to-middle-income Arkansas residents through the Arkansas COVID-19 Fresh Start Housing Stabilization Program.

• Conway Gives: Faulkner, Perry, Van Buren, and Conway Counties

Local non-profits have streamlined the process for families who need rental assistance due to COVID-19. A community fund has been set up to house donations and an allocation committee is in place to distribute funds based on need over the next 60 days.

• Jonesboro Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Thanks to a grant awarded to the city of Jonesboro, emergency rental assistance will become available for citizens who qualify. Lakyn Williams, city grant writer, said the city was awarded the 2019 COVID-19 Emergency Solutions Grant of $105,000 for renters who face eviction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
